Die Formation:
The Sensations aus Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, wurden 1954 als The Cavaliers gegründet, änderten aber ihren Gruppennamen vor ihrer ersten Veröffentlichung bei ATCO auf The Sensations. Die Lead-Sängerin dieser Formation war Yvonne Mills, die sich später Yvonne Baker nannte. Um sich scharte sie die drei Herren Tommy Wicks, Tenor (ab 1961 durch Richard Curtin ersetzt), Tommy Cooke, Bariton (ab 1961 durch Sam Armstrong ersetzt), und Alphonso Howell, Bass.
