Real Name: Dolorez Alexandria Turner

Lorez Alexandria (b. August 14, 1929 in Chicago, Illinois – d. May 22, 2001 in Los Angeles, California) was an American jazz and gospel singer. She began as a singer in churches and spent numerous years as part of an a cappella choir. She worked the local Chicago club scene before moving to Los Angeles in 1962 to further her career.

She released about 24 albums between 1957 and 1996
