Der Jazz-Pianist, Arrangeur, Dirigent, Komponist und Produzent Jack Pleis wurde am 11. Mai 1917 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, geboren und verstarb am 5. Dezember 1990, erst 73-jährig, in Palm Springs, Kalifornien. Im Juni 1950 heiratete er Eva Nadauld, die bei RCA Victor als Sängerin Eve Young tätig war, aber bei CORAL ihren Künstlernamen auf Karen Chandler änderte.
